Intended learning outcomes
Upon approval in the course of Laboratory Techniques, the student should be able to:
- Carry out bibliographic research in scientific sources and know several methodologies of bibliographic citation;
- Know and apply the safety procedures in a chemistry laboratory;
- Identify and accurately handle material and equipment;
- Introduce essential unit operations and classic analysis techniques;
- Plan, interpret and execute experimental protocols;
- To carry out the rigorous and objective registration of the procedures and experimental results in the laboratory notebook;
- Characterize and evaluate the purity of compounds using analytical techniques;
- Exhibit critical spirit in the analysis and interpretation of experimental and analytical results;
- Use appropriate tools in the design of chemical structures and graphs presentation;
- Prepare scientific reports with suitable scientific accuracy.
